The Problem With Flint’s Water

The industrial city of Flint, Michigan is currently undergoing a major crisis with its water supply.  After the city changed water suppliers in 2014 to save money, Flint residents have complained that the water smells awful and makes them sick. Flint’s children have been found to have high amounts of lead in their bodies. President Obama has declared a state of emergency in Flint, and both the National Guard and volunteers are giving lead filters and bottled water to Flint residents. Governor of Michigan Rick Snyder has faced calls to resign because of his perceived poor handling of the situation.
